These are the first official pictures of Vauxhall’s most powerful Corsa ever, the new VXR Nürburgring Edition, on sale from late May 2011.

At the heart of the Nürburgring is a re-worked version of the Corsa VXR’s existing 1.6-litre turbocharged engine which now produces 205PS* at 5,750rpm (up from 192PS) and 250-280Nm of torque (up from 230-266Nm). A modified engine management and turbocharger system, sports exhaust with reduced back pressure – and the ability to run on 98-octane fuel – have all contributed to the rise in power.

To harness the Nürburgring’s new-found power potential, we’ve fitted it with a mechanical, multi-plate limited-slip differential, ensuring that its 205PS doesn’t go up in a cloud of tyre smoke, and providing the car with optimum traction at all times. The limited-slip differential also reins in under-steer caused by excessive throttle-loads during cornering, or changes in the texture of the road surface.

Having created a huge level of interest at the Paris Motor Show last September, the dramatically-styled five-seat/three-door Astra GTC has now moved from being a concept vehicle to a production ready model, with test cars currently completing validation drives

And in just six weeks time (on 7 June) Vauxhall will open its order books for the model - at the same time revealing the technology, equipment, powertrain and pricing of this showcase of Vauxhall's latest technology, which includes unique chassis features. First vehicles will then arrive in UK showrooms late Autumn this year

During 2010 Vauxhall customers in Northern Ireland have been sent questionnaires to enable them to feedback their individual sales experiences with their local dealers.

The full results have now been compiled and Townparks Car Sales have been singled out as the Sales operation with the highest overall satisfaction score therefore ranking them as number 1 in Northern Ireland.

Vauxhall have announced an industry first. All cars registered from the first of August 2010 will now be covered by a life time warranty for as long as you keep your car up to 100,000 miles.

Townparks are delighted to be voted top for servicing by Vauxhall for the 3rd year running.

Steve Graham took our Sales Manager Martin Elliott a run in his Astra 888 diesel on the shakedown stage of the Ulster Rally in Antrim.

Congratulations to Steve and Tony Graham who won the 2009 diesel cup category in the British Rally Championship.

Townparks Nova Sport won the Best Modified Car 2009, at the Modified Car And Rally Show which was held at the kings Hall, Belfast in October.

The Townparks Stages rally was a close run through the stages, Derek McGarrity won by 14 seconds, Connor McCloskey 2nd and a further 5 seconds behind Sean Devine took 3rd.
Cahal Rodgers and his son Eioghan had a great run in their Lancer and won Group N.
Wesley Patterson and co driver Martin McGarrity pulled out all the stops to put up the best 2 wheel drive performance in their Escort.
